CORTIJO LA TORRE PREMIUM
After an exceptional evolution, this brand has recently reached the top of the olive oil from Jaén, that is, from Spain. This is a purebred picual, phenomenally crafted, which gathers character and great sensitivity. Its aromas come across exuberant, fragrant, extraordinarily herbal (wheat), fruity and bitter, very much in keeping with the characteristics of the variety, formed to offer a splendor of delight. The first sensation in the mouth is of its extraordinary and astonishing affability, even a bit sweet, to follow with bitterness, an unmistakable bitterness that is expressed in a persistent manner, with clean hints of nuts to then finish with a fine spice that adds the ideal amount of vitality to the sapid richness.

ORO BAILÉN RESERVA FAMILIAR
A full-bodied olive oil of the picual variety from Jaén whose maximal quality is in symbiosis with its contemporarity. Decisive and innovative expressions. This olive oil is not green; it is outrageously green. It could not be more intense nor glistening. The bouquet demonstrates patently clean, honest, fresh and especially fruity aromas, typical from the green olive, alongside the presence of other sensations: recently cut (wheat) grass… An exuberance of country-style nuances meriting praise. On the palate its magnanimous vitality stands out: olive and vegetable elements, balanced with an amazing elegance. The first sweet impression is followed by the bitterness, a bitterness that is converted into a relevant and permanent valor–subtle and noble–to finish with a slight spice that manages to not eclipse the bitterness; a characteristic that marks, even distinguishes its identity. Substantial, with a strong character and round.

CASTILLO DE CANENA ROYAL PRIMERO
After the prestige gained by the Vañó brothers thanks to their Castillo de Canena Reserva Familiar olive oil, which includes both the picual and arbequina varieties, they expand into new ways, offering the best royal olive oil of the market, made with this local and very scarce variety that gives a really distinctive product. A royal olive is unique, indeed. And this means clearly different properties, such as –extreme– delicacy, exclusive among extra virgin olive oils. The bouquet demonstrates olive, artichoke, herbs and green banana; pertinently complex. A crescendo on the palate, evolving, where it begins smooth and sweet, it turns more intense and deep, fruity and marked by an almond touch, impregnated with a refined bitterness and a tingling insinuation at the finish. A wonderful combination between bitter and spicy flavours. Velvety and round. |

TUCCIOLIVA
This cooperative, set up in 1960, started to commercialise its key product, Tuccioliva, in 2007: a picual olive oil that reached a dazzling recognition at both national and international levels thanks to the different awards it obtained. In fact, we are before an original and distinctive extra virgin olive oil, here. Very personal and wonderfully shaped. It combines utter delicacy and extraordinary density ; this is where its secret lies. Subtle, honest and fresh fragrances that recall many elements: olive leaves, spring fields, lemon and green banana; amazing, much more persistent than intense. These properties are confirmed in the mouth: very fruity, very fine, very balanced, with an unmistakable and moderate bitterness and a nuanced spicy touch, very well defined. In short, it has got an extremely elegant body.

FUENROBLE
A groundbreaking oil of Jaén made with picual olives cultivated in the Sierra de Segura Natural Park. Its green tonality, always exultant, attractive, intense and lively, has got an impressive luster; something which is produced thanks to the collection of olives, picked from the beginning of November, and the immediate milling that follows. Exuberant aromatic and sapid qualities, plainly fruity and vegetal (herbs, artichokes, …), with a mild start that increases in depth seemingly infinitely until the mouth is taken by two characteristics of the picual, bitterness and spice –the former being more tempered and the latter more poignant. It has a strong personality, an enormous complexity and a great nobility.

MELGAREJO SELECCIÓN GOURMETA picual oil with a new insignia: conceived with utter refinement and elaborated with consummate care, in search of a gourmet audience. The characteristics of the variety itself as antonomasia of Jaén are made subtle, offering them in their perfect strength, with new sensations. Its intensity and aromatic persistence stand out, clean fragrances with notes of fruity olives, herbs, recently cut grass, apple, pistachios… The first impression in the mouth is that of fascinating and astonishing elegance, with a great fruitiness, a very tempered bitterness, demonstrating the fats of the oil and finishing with a bite, imposing a mild, even complacent spice in the finish, very pleasant, with a green tonality.

SOLER ROMERO BIO
This olive oil has strong aromas, common among olives and olive leaves, with clear herbal sensations and almond touches. These qualities have a second effect in the mouth, where other factors express themselves: a sweet and fruity feeling followed by some neat bitterness (nuts), together with a light spicy sensation, persistent, which gives some character, but without excess. An olive oil with personality, marked by the herbal fragrances.
