If the first Conde de la Salceda—a ’98—made by Fernando Chivite was a qualitative leap when compared with previous products of the winery, this second one—a ’00—represents one more step for the brand in development of fruit, structure and personality.
Aromas with great powers of seduction due to its attractive fragrances. Woods, with clear presence of blackberries; there are also various balsamic sensations, among which eucalyptus stands out. Also noticeable are licorice and an illustrative wood that brings complexity and quality along with it. On the palate, the grape stands out—the nobility of the raw materials, the pure, not strident fruitiness, with substance and sweet tannins.
95% Tempranillo and 5% Graciano. 18 months in new Allier oak barrels. Bottled at the end of 2003. 33,216 bottles of 75cl.
