An elegant, substantive, structured, smooth, highly evolving wine with supple tannins. Its nose is delicate, clean and profound, with aromas that hint at the merlot, phenomenal wood and faint notes of spices and toast. On the palate the fruit and oak are very integrated, with notable complexity; no definable elements stand out, salve for a pleasant, light bitterness that evokes almonds.
50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, and 10% Cabernet Franc. Barrel aged for 18 months. Bottled in 2003.
