Celeste 03

This is the first wine from the Torres group produced within the Ribera del Duero region, and considering the factors involved, it could not have been better – which speaks greatly of a promising future for the project. The oenological approach is simply magnificent; the wine is balanced in every sense. It demonstrates strength, but is self-restrained. The fruits and the elements of the ageing process are integrated in such a way that neither stand out in a glaring manner. It expresses nuances without being boastful: blackberries, cherries, black pepper and licorice. The mouth is subject to a flurry of different sensations – sweet, bitter, acidic and tannic – all orchestrated in perfect harmony.
100% tinta fina or tempranillo. Aged for 12 months in American and French oak. Bottled in January 2005.
