An improvement on the 2000 in substance and complexity, keeping with the elegance and character that set it apart and have made it one of the most prized Reservas of Ribera del Duero. Intense nose, indicating grape concentration and nobility, with fruity and herbal aromas as well as those of toast and spices imparted by select aging. Its palate is elegant and balanced, evolving and developing to reveal its breed with fruit, licorice, cocoa, cinnamon…, in addition to supple, sweet tannins.
75% Tempranillo and 25% divided between Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Half of the wine underwent malolactic fermentation in new French oak. Aged in barrels (50% new, 50% second wine) for two years. Bottling date: April 2004. Production: 38,000 bottles
