An exceptional aroma, powerful and complex, in which one senses the remarkable ageing process, releasing smoky, toasted notes of vanilla, rounding out an essential aspect of the dark berry confit flavor, speaking to an extraordinary ripeness. These sensations are confirmed on the palate, intense, penetrating, exuberant and consistent, with a fine structure and breeding… perfectly constructed. The acidity and tannins are elegantly expressed.
86% Tinta Fina, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Merlot. Aged for 16 months in French oak barrels, half new and the other half used only once before. Bottled in September 2006. 135,000 bottles and 800 magnums.
