Château Duhart-Milon 00
accueil@lafite.com
One of Lafite Rothschild’s wines, classified as “4e cru classé”, but one that disqualifies the qualification ratings. Understand, there are certain truths devised to mislead the laymen. Regardless of what they say on paper, this wine is truly beyond category, capable of questioning and even shattering the official “establishment”. It has everything, the knowledge of a fine winery and the substance of the vines, located at the heart of the quintessential Pauillac.
Elegance, harmony and complexity stand out. Lively red berry compotes with a natural acidity from the ageing process it undergoes. Hints of vegetables alongside leathery notes. Spices, vanilla and toasted nuances. It evolves on the palate at an unbelievable rate, combining multiple, even infinite sensations within its substantial, refined identity.
65% cabernet sauvignon, 30% merlot and 5% cabernet franc. Aged for 18 months in French barrels, 55% of which are new oak.
