A humble wine on paper that behaves nobly in the mouth, exceptionally well in fact, perhaps even unbeatably so when the price is considered. Very characteristic in both the nose and on the palate, distinctly merlot as one might expect from a cabernet sauvignon or cabernet franc, with a certain rustic identity and ripe tannins that need polishing though they are not overly aggressive, with a well formed body. Expressively fruity, releasing sensations of dark, wild, ripe berries.
100% Merlot. Aged for 12 months in oak barrels, 50% new.
