TWINNING OF THE ARABIC AND CHRISTIAN CUISINES
Elche is going to host three dinners consisting of eight dishes: four made by the chefs from Lebanon, Syria and Tunisia and four set by different cooks from Elche and Alicante, who will all reinvent dishes inspired on the Arabic legacy in Spanish cuisine. Every evening will be livened up by music and poesy. A brief historic introduction and a speech on the gastronomic elements will also be given. Menú:

DEBATE ON BAD MANNERS, EATING WITH THE FINGERS AND STUFFING ONESELF WITH A CRUSTY RICE
6.30 P.M. Congress Center Ciudad de Elche. Debate: Gran Wyoming, Santiago Segura, Juan Echanove, Carlos Marzal, Antonio Fraguas "Forges", Javier Nart, Martín Berasategui and Manolo de la Osa. Moderator: Pepa Fernández.
8.00 P.M. Tasting of 50,000 Arabic (or inspired on the Arabic culture) snacks at popular prices made by the abovementioned chef together with Susi Díaz (“La Finca”), Julián Marín (“Dàtil d’Or”), Anna Maria Santoyo (“El Misteri d’Anna”), Jesús Gómez (“Els Capellans”), Asunción Gil (“Culinart”), Daniel Álvarez (“Dalua”), from Elche, and María José San Román (“Monastrell”), among others, from Alicante.
